Chapter 2

Christ Is Our Example

21 For ^uyou have been called for this purpose, ^vsince Christ also suffered for you, leaving you ^wan example for you to follow in His steps,  
22 WHO ^xCOMMITTED NO SIN, NOR WAS ANY DECEIT FOUND IN HIS MOUTH;  
23 ^yand while being ^zreviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously;  
24 and He Himself ^abbore our sins in His body on the ^cdcross, so that we ^emight die to ^fsin and live to righteousness; for ^gby His ^hwounds you were ⁱhealed.  
25 For you were ^jcontinually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the ^kShepherd and ^lGuardian of your souls.
